Drugs, alcohol and addiction has massive effects on the community and individuals around the world, whether that be a direct or indirect impact. All the latest research and studies show that the harmful impacts from alcohol, drugs and addiction is one of the biggest health crisis facing the modern world.
Real Drug Talk was founded in 2014 by recovering drug user and addiction treatment professional, Jack Nagle. Fear and shame kept Jack from speaking out about his addiction and asking for help for a long time before he actually put his hand out and made the critical first step.
Since 2014, Jack has had the opportunity to share his story through various media outlets, both nationally and locally as well as working at the coal face of addiction treatment for the last eight years. The impact and response from this coverage has amazed and astounded Jack, with people coming forward and asking for help that would never have done so before. This is where Real Drug Talk was born.
Real Drug Talk’s foundations are born out of the many misconceptions circulating around the nature of drugs, alcohol and addiction along with drug and alcohol users ability to recover.
Real Drug Talks vision is to see a world free from unnecessary suffering, (we believe addiction is completeley unnecessary). We are on a mission to change the paradigm in dealing with alcohol, drugs and addiction and we will continually strive to open up the conversation.
Real Drug Talk’s ambition is to change the perceptions around addiction so that the stigma can be reduced and eliminated, allowing individuals affected by addiction to gain hope and help without fear of judgement and consequence. We hope you can join us on that journey.
